Anthony Carreon Killed after Struck by Vehicle on 3rd Street in San Jacinto

1-Year-Old Anthony Carreon Fatally Struck by Vehicle Backing Out of Driveway on East 3rd Street

 
SAN JACINTO, CA (February 11, 2019) – A 1-year-old boy was killed after being struck by a vehicle Monday afternoon in San Jacinto.
 
The fatal crash happened around 3:45 p.m. in the 300 block of East Third Street. According to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, an unknown vehicle backed out of a driveway and into the child. Deputies arrived on the scene and found the boy lying on the ground with major injuries.
 
The victim was rushed by ambulance to a local hospital, where he was declared dead. He was later identified as Anthony Carreon of San Jacinto.
 
The man in the vehicle remained at the site of the crash and cooperated with authorities. He said he did not know the child was behind the vehicle.
 
Authorities also did not immediately divulge the relationship between the driver and the child.
 
It is unknown if charges has been filed and liability has not yet been determined. The incident remains under investigation.
