NEVADA COUNTY, CA (October 4, 2022) – Sunday night, Anthony Burgan and Alyssa Brown sustained injuries in a fatal crash on State Route 20 near Slacks Ravine.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened on westbound State Route 20 near Slacks Ravine.
 
Reports revealed that a westbound 2004 Oldsmobile Alero traveled at a high rate of speed. Then, it veered across the center line and collided head-on with an eastbound 1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee.
 
Moreover, responders pronounced the 47-year-old male driver of the Alero dead at the scene. Then, paramedics transported the Jeep driver, 35-year-old Anthony Burgan with moderate injuries, and his passenger, 25-year-old Alyssa Brown with major injuries to Adventist Health/Rideout Hospital in Marysville for treatment.
 
Furthermore, authorities believe that alcohol and impairment played a role in the crash.
