Bicyclist Dead after Hit-And-Run Crash on East 22nd Street in Tucson

Tucson, AZ (August 3, 2023) – Early Thursday morning, 46-year-old Anthony Branden Sipes died in a hit-and-run crash on East 22^nd Street.

The fatal crash happened around 3:40 a.m. at the 6000 block of East 22^nd Street, near South Alamo Avenue.

According to TPD, Sipes was riding his bicycle eastbound on 22^nd Street in the bicycle lane when he was hit from behind by the suspect car.

Sipes had a light affixed to the front of his bicycle and he was also wearing a bright neon-colored shirt.

The driver immediately fled the scene

Investigators believe that the suspect vehicle is a 2008-2014 Cadillac CTS sedan or coupe.
