Driver Dies after Crash with Semi Truck on Ramona Expressway in Lakeview

 
LAKEVIEW, CA (December 10, 2019) – A man died in a head-on crash Tuesday evening in Lakeview, authorities said.
 
The crash happened around 9:35 p.m. at the intersection of Ramona Expressway and Lakeview Avenue.
 
According to the CHP, a semi truck collided head-on with a pickup truck for unknown reasons. The impact caused severe injuries to the pickup truck’s driver.
 
Despite life-saving efforts, the victim died at the scene. The Riverside County Coroner’s Office identified him as Anthony Armenta, 51, of Hemet.
 
The driver of the semi truck remained on scene and cooperated with authorities.
