1 Dead in Salinas Head-On Accident on West Market Street and Villa Street
SALINAS, CA (March 27, 2023) – Early Sunday morning, a tragic crash on West Market Street and Villa Street led to the arrest of Annie Kerr.
The incident occurred at about 2:00 a.m. on West Market Street and Villa Street, said the Salinas Police.
According to reports, 32-year-old Kerr drove a small SUV east on West Market Street. Then, she collided head-on with a small sedan with three male occupants inside.
As a result, responders took a 33-year-old man to a local trauma center where he succumbed to his injuries.
Meanwhile, a 31-year-old man sustained serious injuries and is in stable condition.
Moreover, a 32-year-old man sustained minor injuries and was released from the hospital.
Meanwhile, the preliminary evidence revealed that Kerr drove twice the speed limit on West Market Street.
Salinas Police Commander John Murray stated that the incident could have been avoided.
