Early Morning Car Accident on Dinah Shore Drive in Cathedral City Kills Driver and Badly Injures Passenger
CATHEDRAL CITY, CA (November 25, 2019) – A woman was killed following a car accident early Monday morning in Cathedral City.
The fatal crash happened around 12:31 a.m. on Dinah Shore Drive, about 130 feet east of Cathedral Canyon Drive.
According to the preliminary investigation, a silver vehicle had been traveling east on Dinah Shore Drive at a high rate of speed. It then lost control and plowed head-on into the center divider.
As a result, the driver suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene. Authorities later identified her as 47-year-old Annette Sepulveda of Hemet.
A male passenger from the car suffered major injuries. Paramedics rushed him to a local hospital where he is listed in critical condition.
Officials have not yet determined if alcohol or drug intoxication were contributing factors in the crash. Further investigation is underway.
