Two Killed in Riverside County Accident on Cajalco Road and Gavilan Road

 
Lake Mathews, CA (November 19, 2020) – On Wednesday morning, Anita Martinez, 83, and Paul Martinez Jr., 79, died in a crash on Cajalco Road and Gavilan Road.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident occurred at around 8:20 a.m. Moreover, it happened in the area of Cajalco Road and Gavilan Road near Lake Mathews.
 
Authorities found a vehicle plunged in a 30 feet embankment off the roadway.
 
Responders found two people, both Perris residents, trapped inside the vehicle. Paramedics pronounced the victims, later identified by the Riverside County Coroner, dead at the scene.
 
The cause of the Lake Mathews crash is still under active investigation.
