Anita Goodrich from Brenham Killed in Highway 290 Collision [Washington County, TX]

Washington County, TX (January 24, 2024) – 59-year-old Anita Goodrich of Brenham and her passenger were killed in a Highway 290 collision Monday afternoon.

The fatal collision unfolded before 2 p.m. on January 22 wherein an eastbound 2004 Ford Expedition driven by Goodrich hydroplaned and crossed into the eastbound lanes. Unfortunately, the Ford was hit by a 2013 Peterbilt 18-wheeler.

Responding officers declared Goodrich and her passenger deceased at the scene. 

The Peterbilt driver, on the other hand, was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
