FRESNO, CA (August 23, 2023) – Tuesday afternoon, Anise Huerta was involved in a devastating multi-vehicle crash on Goodfellow Avenue and Rio Vista Avenue.

The incident happened on Goodfellow Avenue and Rio Vista Avenue.

According to the California Highway Patrol, a Chevy Silverado truck rear-ended a Toyota Camry in slower-moving traffic and veered into the opposite lane. Then, the truck collided head-on with a BMW before being struck by a Hyundai Accent in the Eastbound lanes.

Moreover, responders rushed the 58-year-old BMW male driver to a hospital where he was later pronounced dead. Then, paramedics transported the 26-year-old female driver of the truck and the Hyundai’s driver to a hospital with minor to moderate injuries. Also, the Camry driver sustained minor injuries but refused further treatment and transport.

Furthermore, officers believe that the Silverado driver, Huerta, was distracted while driving, resulting in the deadly crash.

At this time, the circumstances leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.

Due to limited information, the authorities continued to investigate the crash.
