Angelica Gilchrist Arrested in Redding Crash Causing Injuries

Redding, CA (July 30, 2021) – On Sunday, people suffered injuries and police arrested a 26-year-old Anderson woman, Angelica Gilchrist, in a hit-and-run crash on South Bonnyview Road.

The accident happened at about 12:15 p.m., east of East of Bonnyview Road.

Officers said they received reports saying the occupants of the at-fault car were leaving the scene on foot.

When responders arrived, they found the suspect driver, Gilchrist, and her passenger walking away from the scene.

Apparently, Gilchrist, traveling in a white Ford Mustang was westbound on South Bonnyview Road.

However, as Gilchrist neared the intersection, she failed to see the cars ahead of her stopped at the red light.

As a result, Gilchrist’s Mustang collided into a Ford Fusion which then collided into a Ford Edge, which then slammed into a Ford F-150.

The driver of the Ford Fusion incurred major injuries, while Gilchrist and her passenger suffered moderate injuries.

Responders treated Gilchrist of her injuries and eventually arrested for felony hit and run and booked her into the Shasta County Jail.
