Woman Fatally Struck by Hit-and-Run Driver on 5th Street near Ramona Avenue
SAN BERNARDINO, CA (December 29, 2019) – A woman was killed in a hit-and-run crash Sunday evening in San Bernardino, police said.
The crash happened around 6:29 p.m. on 5th Street near Ramona Avenue.
Authorities said the woman was walking east in the right lane of 5th Street when an eastbound vehicle struck her. Arriving paramedics rushed the woman to a local hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries.
The coroner’s office identified the victim as Angela Rosales, 29, of Highland.
The vehicle that hit her left the scene before police arrived. Information on the vehicle and driver involved were not immediately available.
Police said it is unknown if speed or alcohol were a factor in the crash.
