Phoenix, AZ (March 23, 2022) – Wednesday morning, 48-year-old Angela Casas died and two men sustained injuries in a head-on crash on Thomas Road. 

Moreover, the fatal crash in Phoenix happened on March 23.

Phoenix Police said a silver SUV was traveling westbound on Thomas Road near 50th Drive when it drove onto the eastbound lanes and crashed head-on into a brown vehicle. 

The SUV driver, Casas, sustained critical injuries and died at the hospital. Her passenger and the driver of the other vehicle sustained non-life-threatening injuries. 

Officials said impairment may have been a factor in the collision. 

Further investigation to determine the cause of the crash is ongoing.
