The accident unfolded around 2:25 p.m., when two westbound vehicles were approaching the 5 Freeway. The first vehicle identified as a 2000 Ford F-150 pickup, slowed because of stalled traffic. Meanwhile, a 2019 Honda Fit driven by 37-year-old Cameron Nations, attempted to veer into the center lane before striking the right rear corner of the Ford.
Adkisson was taken to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center due to her injuries. Hospital employees report that she is currently in stable condition. Nations was reportedly unharmed.
