Three Siblings Killed and Mother Injured in Suspected Street Race Crash near 10 Freeway
BLOOMINGTON, CA (June 24, 2018) – Three people were killed Sunday evening and one was hospitalized after they were struck by a vehicle suspected to be involved in street racing. The San Bernardino County Coroner’s Office identified the victims as 20-year-old Angel Jaureguis, 17-year-old Jose Manuel Jaureguis, and 13-year-old Andrea Jaureguis.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision took place at 8:30 PM in the 18200 block of Slover Avenue, near the 10 Freeway. 49-year-old Maria Luna Jaureguis, together with her three children, was walking along Slover when they were struck by an eastbound Dodge Challenger, driven by 19-year-old Leonardo Bravo.
The Jaureguis siblings sustained fatal injuries and were pronounced dead at the scene, while their mother was rushed to the Arrowhead Regional Medical Center after sustaining moderate injuries. The driver was reportedly unharmed and stayed at the scene to cooperate with the investigators.

The preliminary investigation suggested that Bravo lost control of his vehicle before hitting the victims and slamming into a tree and a brick wall. Street racing was suspected to be a factor in the collision due to Bravo’s excessive speed and the sighting of a dark-colored Chevrolet SUV leaving the scene. Alcohol and drugs were ruled out as possible contributing factors in the deadly crash.
No further details have been released to the public at this time.
