26-Year-Old Man Dies in Collision near Gage Road

MONTEBELLO, CA (September 20, 2018) – A man was fatally injured in a car crash on Telegraph Road, late Thursday evening. The victim later was identified by the Los Angeles County coroner’s office as 26-year-old Angel Bonilla. His place of residence was not immediately released to the public.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision took place at approximately 11:00 PM near Gage Road. As per reports, the victim’s vehicle was speeding on Telegraph when it crashed into the back of an 18-wheeler big rig’s trailer.

Emergency personnel arrived at the scene to find Bonilla’s car in a cluster of trees off the side of the road. He suffered critical injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. No other injuries were reported in the collision.

The road was shut down in the area during the cleanup and investigation, and was reopened shortly after. No additional information has been released to the public by the Montebello Police Department, as the investigation continues.
