Fatal Motorcycle Crash on Mount Baldy Road in Claremont
CLAREMONT, CA (December 15, 2019) – A motorcyclist died in a traffic accident Sunday morning in Claremont, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The crash happened around 8:25 a.m. on Mount Baldy Road ear mile marker 2.73, just south of the first tunnel.
CHP officials said, the motorcycle was traveling on Mount Baldy Road when it crashed, ejecting the rider down into a ravine. Arriving units found the rider dead at the scene.
The Los Angeles County coroner’s office identified the deceased as Angel Barrera, 28, of Riverside.
Mount Baldy Road was closed for about three hours during the operation.
An investigation is still ongoing to determine the cause and factors involved.
