Car Overturns and Catches Fire in Fatal Accident Near Harley Knox Boulevard
PERRIS, CA (December 25, 2019) – The authorities identified Andy Acuna as the driver killed in a fiery car crash on 215 Freeway northbound on Wednesday evening.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened near Harley Knox Boulevard at approximately 6:50 PM.
Reports from the Riverside County Friday Department showed that a black Honda Civic slammed into a bridge before it overturned and caught fire.
The car’s driver and passenger were not wearing seatbelts and were ejected. 19-year-old Acuna, whose full name is Andy Ralphie Acuna Jr. of Riverside, died at the scene. His cousin suffered major injuries and was rushed to the hospital.
No further information was provided. However, an investigation into the accident is ongoing.
