Andrew Martinez Dies in 2-Vehicle Accident on Pantano Parkway [Tucson, AZ]

Tucson, AZ (April 19, 2023) On Monday afternoon, 62-year-old Andrew Martinez died in a 2-vehicle accident on Pantano Parkway.

Authorities say that a fatal traffic collision happened around 2 p.m. on the 2500 block of S. Pantano Parkway near East Golf Links Road.

Tucson PD says that a southbound blue 1999 GMC Sonoma struck the back of a white 2016 Isuzu NRR flatbed truck. The collision caused injuries to both drivers.

Medics transported both injured drivers to St. Joseph’s Hospital, the GMC driver, identified as Martinez, suffered serious injuries, while the Izuzu driver sustained minor injuries.

Officials say that upon arrival at the hospital, Martinez succumbed t his injuries and was pronounced dead at the hospital.

TPD is investigating the 2-vehicle accident.
