37-Year-Old Man Killed in Multiple Car Crash on Baseline Road east of Watt Avenue
ROSEVILLE, CA (February 16, 2018) – A 37-year-old Roseville man was killed in a three-vehicle crash on Baseline Road near Watt Avenue and Fiddyment Road on Friday afternoon.
Authorities were alerted about the crash around 4:49 PM. Investigation revealed that the driver of a 2013 Hyundai Electra sedan was driving eastbound on Baseline road, when he collided with a 1999 Toyota Corolla driven by Andrew Lasse Wait .
The impact caused the Corolla to spin into the westbound lane of Baseline Road, where it was hit by a westbound 2003 GMC pickup truck.
Emergency responders rushed Wait to an area hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries and was later pronounced dead. The driver of the Hyundai was transported to a hospital with complaints of pain, while the driver of the pickup was not hurt, according to police officials.
Investigators determined that alcohol or drugs were not factors in the collision. No other information has been released at this time.
