Coroner Identifies 2 Motorists Killed in Calistoga Head-On Crash as Andress Hatch and Jonathan Thorn

 
CALISTOGA, CA (November 19, 2019) – Two men died in a head-on crash early Tuesday morning in unincorporated Napa County.
 
The crash happened around 2:15 a.m. on Highway 29 at Bale Lane.
 
A 68-year-old Andress Hatch of Yountville was driving a Chevrolet Sonic when he suddenly veered across the road. He then collided head-on into a Toyota Prius, driven by Jonathan Thorn, 32, of Lower Lake.
 
As a result, both drivers died at the scene. There were no passengers in either vehicle.
 
Both directions of the highway were temporarily closed while officers documented the incident.
 
The precise circumstances that led to the fatal crash remain unclear at this time. Further investigation is underway.
