Andrea Mendoza Arrested in Hit-and-Run Crash on Chadbourne Street [San Angelo, TX]

San Angelo, TX (August 5, 2024) On Sunday morning, 19-year-old Andrea Mendoza after the deadly hit-and-run crash on North Chadbourne Street.

According to the San Angelo Police Department, the deadly auto-pedestrian crash happened on the 3100 block of North Chadbourne Street just after midnight.

Reports say that a 53-year-old man was fatally struck by a white 2000 Mercury Sable driven by Mendoza, who abandoned the vehicle in the same block, south of the scene of the crash.

Officials say that the victim suffered substantial injuries consistent with being hit by a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed. Officials later pronounced the victim dead.

Authorities were able to take Mendoza into custody and was booked into the om Green County Jail.
