 47-Year-Old Amy Smith Dead After Hit-And-Run Crash on 19th Avenue in Phoenix

Phoenix, AZ (March 3, 2024) – On Saturday night, 47-year-old Amy Smith died in a hit-and-run crash on 19th Avenue and Thunderbird Road.

Reportedly, a car hit and killed a woman before fleeing the scene last Saturday night in north Phoenix. 

The Phoenix police report that the crash occurred just after 10 p.m. near 19th Avenue and Thunderbird Road. 

Upon arrival, officers discovered a seriously injured woman. Authorities pronounced 47-year-old Amy Smith, the woman, dead at the scene. 

Investigators suspect that the vehicle that hit Smith was traveling westbound on Thunderbird Road at the time of the crash. 

They also believe the vehicle continued westbound after the incident. 

The police have yet to release any details regarding the vehicle or its driver. 

The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
