Vehicles Collide on Highway 101
Arcata, CA (January 29, 2022) – On Saturday, an ambulance responded to a three-vehicle collision on Highway 101.
The collision took place at about 1:45 a.m. on the northbound freeway near the Sunset Offramp.
Officers said that a truck and a sedan collided. Then, a third vehicle crashed with one of the two vehicles that previously crashed.
Immediately, traffic crews requested an ambulance to assist at the scene.
Meanwhile, traffic crews closed northbound Highway 101 for about an hour and a half until the scene was cleared.
When driving, it is better to scan the road 1/2 mile to a full mile ahead in order to look out or recognize potential hazards in time. Thus, you need to learn to consciously break that natural instinct and focus farther ahead.
Injuries in Freeway Collision
According to the United States Department of Transportation, there are approximately 300,000 merging accidents every year. It is therefore important to follow all the traffic laws to avoid these types of accidents.
“A common misconception is that personal injury lawyers don’t care. That is simply not true. Injury lawyers care about and want justice for their clients. We are driven by the desire to make our clients whole again,” says Steve Baric of Sweet Lawyers
Moreover, the most valuable step you can take in response to a vehicle crash is hiring a personal injury attorney. Mark Sweet says that serious car accident cases may call for a separate investigation spearheaded by an experienced lawyer fighting on behalf of a party.
