Ambulance Carrying Patient Overturns in Fiery Hit-and-Run Crash on 91 Freeway
ANAHEIM, CA (November 10, 2019) – At least three people suffered injuries in a fiery hit-and-run crash on 91 Freeway, Sunday morning.
According to the Orange County Fire Authority, the incident happened at about 4:15 AM. Due to unknown reasons, a silver Chevrolet Trax slammed into a Care-owned ambulance near Euclid Street. The impact of the collision caused the Chevrolet to burst into flames.
OCFA officials said a young boy who had been a patient in the ambulance, as well as two paramedics and a CARE attendant, suffered minor injuries. A ground ambulance transported the victims to UCI Medical Center. Meanwhile, the driver of the Chevrolet fled the area on foot.
