Ambulance Driver Hurt in Mount Baker Highway Injury Crash [Bellingham, WA]

Injury Reported in Ambulance/SUV Crash on Mount Baker Highway

Bellingham, WA (February 18, 2022) On Thursday, an ambulance driver was hurt in a crash on the 1800 block of Mount Baker Highway.

The Washington State Patrol (WSP) says the crash happened on February 17, at about 11:50 a.m.

Authorities say that both lanes were closed up until 1 p.m. with detours provided to avoid the crash site.

Officials say that the ambulance driver attempted to avoid a head-on with an SUV, but the SUV still hit the vehicle.

Rescuers say that the driver was the sole occupant of the ambulance.

Moreover, no one was transported to the hospital due to their injuries.

Aim high in steering, i.e. don’t make your steering adjustments based on what is directly in front of you, but rather what is down the road. If the road is winding to the right, for example, look as far into the turn as possible.

This will improve your safety and make your turns smoother.
