Jose Martinez Arrested Following Fatal San Jose Accident on Story Road and King Road
SAN JOSE, CA (December 7, 2020) – Sunday morning, Amaris Medina died, and three others were injured in a crash on Story Road and King Road.
The authorities responded to the single-vehicle accident at 3:10 a.m.
According to reports, the incident occurred when a grey 2013 Honda Accord crashed into a tree and a light pole. The incident happened on Story Road and King Road.
The crash involved four juveniles, two males and two females. One of the female juveniles succumbed to injuries at the scene. Meanwhile, responders transported the other three to local hospitals.
Furthermore, one of the male juveniles sustained serious life-threatening injuries. Moreover, the other two sustained major injuries.
Meanwhile, the investigators confirmed that the Accord was speeding east on Story Road. Then, it went out of control and crashed into the tree and light pole.
Moreover, it has been confirmed that the Honda was stolen in Mountain View.
Authorities say that 15-year-old Amaris Medina remains the only casualty of this fatal accident. Her death marks the 43rd fatal crash for 2020.
Later reports reveal that Jose Martinez, 18, is being held in Santa Clara County jail for vehicular manslaughter, driving a stolen vehicle and hit-and-run charges.
