Woman Suffers Broken Arm after Struck by Hit-and-Run Car on NE 112th Avenue and 49th Street
VANCOUVER, WA (February 21, 2018) – A woman was struck and injured by a hit-and-run driver on Wednesday night, on Northeast 112th Avenue and 49th Street.
Amanda Yocham was walking in the crosswalk on NE 112th Ave, when a driver failed to stop at a red light and hit her. The vehicle continued to drive off as Yocham was injured on the floor. She was able to get up and out of traffic.
The victim suffered a broken arm and bruises. She will need surgery and several weeks to recover. There is no update on her current condition at this time.
The suspected hit-and-run vehicle is believed to be a 2015-2017 dark Ford pickup truck. Yocham stated that the vehicle’s driver-side mirror came off after she was hit. No description of the driver has been provided. Police officials continue to investigate the hit-and-run accident, and search for the driver and car involved.
