Amanda Smith Killed and 2 Hospitalized in Fresno Accident on Highway 180
FRESNO, CA (April 11, 2021) – Saturday, Amanda Smith died and two others sustained injuries in a crash on Highway 180.
According to CHP, the incident took place at 5:00 p.m. on Highway 180, east of DeWolf Avenue.
Reports revealed that the right rear tire tread fell off a westbound vehicle traveling on Highway 180.
Furthermore, the male driver of the vehicle lost control. Subsequently, he veered towards the opposite lane.
Then, he collided head-on with an Infinity and Ford Focus.
Moreover, responders pronounced the female driver of the Infinity, 34-year-old Smith, dead at the scene.
Also, paramedics transported two men to Community Regional Medical Center with injuries.
Authorities do not believe that drugs or alcohol played a role in the fatal Fresno crash.
