When a car collides with a pedestrian, there is an extremely high potential for serious injury, even death. Thus, it is imperative for drivers to follow simple rules for safety. Pay attention to crosswalks, making sure pedestrians are not crossing the road before passing through. Pay attention to traffic controls and yield to pedestrians already crossing the road even if not at the crosswalk.
