Wet Roads Factor in Fatal DUI Collision near Clinton Avenue
FRESNO, CA (December 1, 2019) – Police arrested Amado Ventura after a fatal DUI crash on Highway 99 on early Sunday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened near the Clinton Avenue exit at approximately 1:30 AM.
Reports showed that 22-year-old Amado Mendez Ventura of Madera drove off the roadway and struck three pedestrians who stood on the shoulder. At the time of the accident, the three victims got out of their vehicle after it veered into a concrete wall.
One man died in the incident. However, the name of the victim is not yet released. The conditions of the other pedestrians hit is unknown.
Ventura did not suffer injuries. However, his 28-year-old passenger is listed in critical condition.
