Alyssa Sandoval Arrested in Fatal DUI Crash on Elkhorn Boulevard [Sacramento, CA]

Sacramento, CA (July 12, 2023) On Tuesday evening, CHP arrested 20-year-old Alyssa Sandoval after a suspected DUI crash on Elkhorn Boulevard.

According to California Highway Patrol (CHP), that the fatal DUI accident happened at about 8:30 p.m. on the 5100 block of Elkhorn Boulevard, eight miles east of the Sacramento International Airport.

Reports say that Sandoval was driving an eastbound 2003 Honda Civic with 2 passengers. Officials say that the Honda was traveling at a high and unsafe speed for the current traffic conditions. The vehicle was approaching a stopped traffic at the time.

Authorities say that Sandoval swerved to the right of the road and travelled on the sidewalk, hitting to 2 adult pedestrians, a man and a woman.

Medics pronounced both victims dead at the scene. Officers arrested Alyssa Sandoval suspicion of DUI.
