Women Found Dead in Car Submerged in Stanislaus River
Ripon, CA (April 7, 2022) – On Tuesday, Alyssa Ros, 23, of Long Beach, and Xylona Gama, 22, of Stockton, were found dead inside a vehicle submerged in Stanislaus River.
Reports say Ros and Gama were last seen Sunday at around 9.30 p.m. at the Spring Creek Country Club, where they attended the wedding of Ros’ uncle.
Then, on Tuesday, a Spring Creek Country Club employee located one of the women’s vehicle immersed in the Stanislaus River near the golf course’s southeast portion.
Immediately, the Ripon Police Department officers, together with firefighters and rescue personnel responded to the scene and recovered the vehicle.
They found and pronounced Ros and Gama dead inside the vehicle.
The Ripon police said that the car was the same 2000 silver Infiniti Q50 that Gama and Ros were last seen in after the event at the country club.
Moreover, Ros‘ father said the medical examiner told him the vehicle went down a steep ravine and rolled-over in about eight feet of water.
Meanwhile, officers have not released details on what caused the crash as they are still investigating this fatal incident. They did not mention if they suspect foul play or an accident.
