What Can the Bereaved Do?
In a time filled with uncertainty, confronting a tragic loss can seem unimaginable. However, it’s crucial to consider that the family of the victim is entitled to file a wrongful death claim.
Even so, the aftermath of a devastating loss may deter a family from pursuing legal matters for their dearly departed. However, the decision to proceed with a case is vital in holding those at fault accountable. We understand no amount of compensation can ease the pain and suffering. Still, an attorney can advocate and do right by the victim, while you focus on grieving properly.
“The last thing most families want to deal with is piles of paperwork. Questions from insurance companies or defense attorneys and attempting to obtain police reports can be stressful,” says Mark Sweet, an award-winning attorney at Sweet Lawyers.
