Alonso Lopez Dies in Tragic Crash on Loop 375 [El Paso, TX]

El Paso, TX (October 17, 2023) On Sunday morning, 31-year-old Alonso Lopez died and both 38-year-old Joshua Serrano and 21-year-old Terry Kinkade were hurt in a tragic crash on Loop 375.

According to the EPPD, the fatal DUI crash happened at about 3 a.m. on Loop 375 north of Montana.

Reports say that Kinkade of Fort Bliss was driving a silver Nissan Sentra crashed into the rear of a black Mazda 3 driven by Lopez.

Police say that both Lopez and his passenger Serrano were taken to the hospital, where Lopez succumbed to his injuries and died at the hospital. Meanwhile, Serrano sustained serious injuries.

Officials say that both Lopez and Serrano worked at the Memorial Campus.

Meanwhile, Kinkade sustained injuries due to the crash, however, officials say that Kinkade will be booked pending medical release.

Authorities say that speed and alcohol were the primary contributing factors in this collision.
