Alondra Rojas of San Elizario Dies in DWI Crash on Loop 375 [El Paso, TX]

El Paso, TX (August 29, 2023) Early Saturday morning, 40-year-old Alondra Rojas of San Elizario, died after a suspected DWI crash on Loop 375 East.

El Paso Police says that the fatal collision happened around 1 a.m. at Loop 375 East at Zaragoza.

Reports say that Cassandra Hernandez rear-ended another vehicle. The impact of the crash, caused the rear-ended vehicle to crash into the guard rail, roll over and struck a metal pole.

Officials say that Alondra Soriano Rojas was a passenger in the rear-ended vehicle, authorities say that Rojas suffered fatal injuries due to the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Meanwhile, 37-year-old Dulce Rivera Soriano, the driver of the 2nd vehicle, and 34-year-old Paloma Soriano, another passenger in the 2nd vehicle, sustained minor injuries and was taken to the hospital.

Moreover, officials say that Hernandez’s car spun around and burst into flames. Authorities say that alcohol and speed were factors in the crash.

Police arrested Hernandez and was charged with intoxication manslaughter and booked into El Paso County Jail.
