Los Angeles, CA (December 2, 2023) On Thursday afternoon, 25-year-old Alma Aragon Cruz and her 8-year-old daughter Alexa Antonio Aragon both perished in the Western Avenue tragic crash.

According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the fatal traffic collision happened on November 23, at about 1:30 p.m. near Western Avenue and 82nd Street.

Reports say that an eastbound vehicle, driven by man in his 50’s, collided with a southbound vehicle driven by a woman in her 20’s. The impact of the collision caused the southbound vehicle to struck a light pole and also hits Cruz and her daughter.

Officials say that the male driver sustained critical injuries and was taken to a hospital, while the female driver sustained injuries and was treated at the scene.

Meanwhile, the Cruz and her daughter were transported by paramedics for hospital treatment. Officials say that Cruz died on the way to the hospital, while her daughter succumbed to her injuries and was declared dead at the hospital earlier this week.

Authorities say that possible criminal charges are pending against both motorists.
