Allen Lee of Irvine Dies in Culver Drive Collision [Irvine, CA]

Irvine, CA (May 15, 2024) – 67-year-old Allen Lee of Irvine was killed in a Culver Drive collision Thursday afternoon.

The fatal collision happened at 4:30 on May 9 at the intersection with Trabucco Road.

Lee was trying to avoid colliding with a Honda that turned against a red light. However, Lee’s vehicle, a 2004 Toyota Corolla swerved and lost control. It then crashed into a center median, tree, and light pole wherein his car was flipped upside and down.

The Honda Civic driver, on the other hand, ran away from the crash scene.

Moreover, the responding medical team rushed Lee to the hospital in grave condition. He unfortunately died Monday night.

Troopers said the suspect drove a silver or beige Honda Civic or Civic Hybrid manufactured between 2008 and 2011. They said it has racing-style decals on the lower doors with some sort of red material on the door handles.
