2 Hurt in Buttonwillow Traffic Accident on Interstate 5 near Twisselman Road
BUTTONWILLOW, CA (November 2, 2022) – Monday morning, Allan Shultz and Susan Shultz sustained injuries in a multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 5.
The incident happened at around 10:40 a.m. on northbound Interstate 5, north of Twisselman Road.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a northbound semi-truck traveled at a high rate of speed. Then, it failed to stop for stopped traffic ahead and collided with four vehicles.
Moreover, responders transported 77-year-old Allan Shultz and 76-year-old Susan Shultz to Mercy Hospital with moderate injuries. Also, the occupants of the other vehicles sustained no injuries in the collision.
Furthermore, officers do not believe that drugs or alcohol played a role in the incident.
Meanwhile, the collision remained under active investigation.
