1 Dead in Mount Vernon Pedestrian Accident on McLean Road near Bradshaw Road
MOUNT VERNON, WA (February 1, 2022) – Friday night, Allan Kelley died in a pedestrian crash on McLean Road near Bradshaw Road.
The crash between a vehicle and a pedestrian occurred at about 5:53 p.m. Moreover, it happened on Mclean Road near Bradshaw Road.
Reports confirmed that 87-year old Allan Kelley of Mount Vernon attempted to cross McLean Road. As Kelley walked in the westbound lane, 34-year-old Chad Deyo driving a westbound 2014 Toyota Tacoma hit him.
Officers noted that Chad Deyo of La Conner suffered no injuries in the crash. However, they believed that he was under the influence of drugs or alcohol at the time of the crash.
Thus, officers booked Chad Deyo into the Skagit County Community Justice Center on an INVESTIGATIVE HOLD for Vehicular Homicide.
The cause of the crash remains under active investigation. Also, the Washington State Patrol Bullpen impounded the Toyota as evidence.
