Multiple Vehicles Involved in Crash on 605 Freeway
WHITTIER, CA (July 10, 2019) – All lanes closed after a multi-car crash on northbound 605 Freeway, Wednesday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision took place just east of Crenshaw Boulevard around 8:41 AM. Based on an initial report, five to seven vehicles crashed in the pile-up. The identified vehicles included a black Nissan Pathfinder, a Toyota Prius, a Toyota Tacoma, and a black Chevrolet Impala.
The paramedics arrived for needed medical attention. They had not yet released a report regarding any injuries sustained by the involved motorists.
The commotion temporarily blocked all lanes of the highway. A SigAlert issued to shut down No. 1 and the HOV lanes for 30 minutes while rescue and clearing operations took place.
An investigation is still currently ongoing to eventually determine liability. However, police did not release any additional information at this time.
