Streit Family Killed in Solo Vehicle Crash near 22800 Latrobe Road
Amador County, CA (July 23, 2020) – On Thursday, Alisa Streit, Nicholas Streit, and their two kids died in a solo vehicle crash near 22800 Latrobe Road.
The crash was reported at around 2:11 p.m. on July 23. The first respondents found four people inside the vehicle.
Medics pronounced all four dead on the scene.
The family, later identified as from El Dorado, were heading north on Latrobe Road when they crossed the double yellow lines.
The driver reportedly saw a car coming from the opposite direction, and tired to get back in their lane, then lost control.
Meanwhile, the crash also sparked a vegetation fire. Firefighters then contained a 3.7-acre fire off Latrobe Road near the El Dorado County.
Moreover, officers closed the southbound Latrobe Road for a few hours during cleanup and preliminary duties.
Further investigation to determine the cause of the crash is ongoing.
