2 People Hurt in Tulare County Accident on Avenue 232 and Road 68
TULARE COUNTY, CA (March 25, 2021) – Saturday morning, Alina Ramirez and another person suffered injuries in a crash on Avenue 232 and Road 68.
At around 4:55 a.m., the Visalia area California Highway Patrol (CHP) came to a crash on Avenue 232 west of Road 68.
The investigation revealed that Armando Gonzalez drove a 2015 International Tanker east on Avenue 232. He approached the intersection with Road 68 at a speed of 45 mph. Then, Gonzalez slowed the Tanker as he waited to turn south onto Road 68.
Meanwhile, 38-year-old Alina Ramirez of Lemoore drove a 2018 Hyundai Sonata east on Avenue 232. Ramirez traveled directly behind Gonzalez at an undetermined speed. Then, when Gonzalez slowed, Ramirez failed to hit the brake in time.
As a result, the Hyundai crashed into the rear of the International Tanker.
The impact left Alina Ramirez and her right-front passenger with major injuries. Responders transported both of them to Kaweah Delta Medical Center.
Meanwhile, evidence revealed that alcohol played a role in the crash.
The authorities continue to investigate the incident. Moreover, they urged anyone with information about the crash to call the Visalia CHP office at (559) 734-6767.
