Officers Arrest Shane Kroeger in Yakima Fatal Collision
Yakima, WA (December 20, 2022) – On Monday morning, Alicia Ashby of Yakima County died while the authorities arrested Shane Kroeger, 25, in an East Lincoln Avenue DUI crash.
According to the Yakima Police Department (YPD), Kroeger was westbound when he slammed into a tree near the 300 Block area.
Rescuers took Ashby to Memorial hospital where she later died from her injuries. Also, another female passenger was transported to the hospital.
Meanwhile, Kroeger fled the crash scene and was caught a short distance away. The authorities booked him into the Yakima County Jail on suspicion of DUI, Hit and Run, and Vehicular Homicide.
