Two Fatalities in Sacramento Crash on Striker Avenue
Sacramento, CA (May 22, 2021) – On Friday, two died and five were injured in a two-vehicle crash on Striker Avenue.
The accident took place at 7:30 p.m. near the National Drive intersection.
Officers said a Mustang was moving at a high rate of speed on Striker Avenue when it ran a stop sign and crashed with a Malibu.
The impact of the crash caused the Mustang to overturn.
Apparently, four people were inside the Mustang during that time. Two passengers in the backseat were thrown out of the vehicle and died at the scene.
Rescuers rushed the driver and front passenger to a hospital with major injuries.
Meanwhile, the Malibu has three people, including one child.
They were taken to the hospital with moderate injuries.
The authorities said they don’t know yet if drugs or alcohol were a factor in the fatal incident.
Officers are investigating the crash.
