26-Year-Old Alexis R. Razo Dies after Crash on Highway 101 in Oxnard

Oxnard, CA (April 14, 2023) – Early Friday morning, 26-year-old  Alexis R. Razo died in a crash on Highway 101.

The fatal crash on Highway 101 in Oxnard happened around 12:45 a.m. on April 14.

CHP said the accident was reported around 12:45 a.m. along the Santa Clara Avenue off ramp.

Reportedly, the black 2021 Mercedes-Benz GLC 300 flipped onto its roof. 

The driver, Razo from Oxnard was pronounced dead at the scene.

EMS transported a 28-year-old Oxnard man, Razo’s passenger, with minor injuries.

Investigators said Razo had failed to negotiate a curve and ran off the road. The left front of the Mercedes hit a concrete wall, causing the vehicle to flip over.

Authorities don’t yet know whether drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash.

Further investigation into this crash is ongoing.
