Teenager Alexia Aguilar Killed in Victorville Accident on La Mesa Road
VICTORVILLE, CA (July 12, 2020) – Last Thursday, 17-year-old Alexia Aguilar died following a traffic crash on La Mesa Road.
The crash occurred on July 8th at around 7:10 p.m. on La Mesa Road and Cantina Drive in Victorville. According to reports, the crash involved a white Honda and a gray Dodge Charger.
When first responders arrived, they located the Honda driver, Alexia Nevalee Aguilar, unresponsive.
Afterward, an ambulance took Alexia Aguilar to Desert Valley Hospital.
Subsequently, she was airlifted to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center. “They restarted her heart there and had her airlifted,” said her aunt, Destiny Redmond.
Redmond added that despite the doctors’ effort, Alexia succumbed to her injuries on July 9th at 5:32 PM.
Meanwhile, Sheriff’s spokeswoman Mara Rodriguez revealed that the Dodge driver remained uninjured.
Moreover, the Major Accident Investigation Team (MAIT) currently handles the investigation.
