Injuries Reported in Moniteau County Motorcycle Accident on MO 87 near Shalom Drive
MONITEAU COUNTY, MO (October 20, 2024) – Friday afternoon, Alexander Lusher suffered injuries in a crippling motorcycle crash on MO 87.
The crash between a car and a motorcycle occurred at around 2:40 p.m. on MO 87 about 600 feet north of Shalom Drive.
20-year-old Lusher from Eldon was riding a 2015 BMW S1000R motorcycle south on MO 87 when he crossed the centerline and collided with a 2018 Subaru Outback driven by 72-year-old Gloria Moody from California, Missouri. Lusher was thrown from the motorcycle and sustained serious injuries, prompting his airlift to University Hospital for treatment. Moody was unharmed, according to the report.
The report noted that Lusher was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident, while Moody wore a seatbelt.
At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
