Alexander Lopez of Covina Killed in Bicycle Accident on Cypress Street [Covina, CA]

Covina, CA (October 3, 2024) – Alexander Lopez, a 17-year-old Sierra High School student, lost his life in a bicycle accident on Cypress Street Monday morning.

It was about 7 a.m. on September 30 when the fatal accident happened. It wasn’t clear if the victim was on his way to the school at 1040 E. Gladstone Street in Azusa at that time.

Investigators determined a white pickup truck was traveling east in the No. 2 lane when they hit the bicyclist. Alexander Lopez was thrown from the bicycle and died at the scene.

The authorities are investigating and no arrest has been made.
