Man who Went Missing on New Year’s Eve Found Deceased on American River Parkway
SACRAMENTO, CA (January 27, 2020) – A man who went missing on New Year’s Eve has been found dead early Monday morning along the American River Parkway.
The Sacramento Police say a passerby on the bike trail found the man’s body around 2:10 a.m., near Del Paso and Northgate Boulevard.
25-year-old Alex Holden went missing on New Year’s Eve after leaving midtown Sacramento. He was last seen on the morning of December 31, 2019 wearing a tan pullover jacket in the downtown area.
Police and the victim’s family had been working together for weeks investigating leads. They also offered a $10,000 reward for information leading to his whereabouts.
On Monday, the Sacramento County Coroner identified the body as Holden.
There are no signs of foul play, therefore the coroner is prime on the investigation.
No words can mend the broken hearts and sorrow felt during this delicate moment. Our deepest condolences are with the bereaved family and friends of Alex Holden.
