17-Year-Old Boy Fatally Injured in Construction Site Accident near Love N Care Preschool
PALO ATLO, CA (July 12, 2018) – A construction worker was killed Thursday morning after a work-related incident in the parking lot of a preschool and a church. The victim was later identified as 17-year-old Alejandro Paulin Castaneda of Newark.
As per reports, the accident took place at 8:45 AM at a construction site outside a parking lot for Love N Care Preschool and Crossroads Community Church.
The police responded to the scene near the 2400 block of Middlefield Road after receiving reports about an incident that involved heavy equipment and a construction worker. Emergency responders attempted to render medical aid to the victim, but he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The preliminary investigation suggests that Castaneda might have been crouching down to do some of the fine work when the tractor had backed into him. It was also determined that the victim was employed by KC Paving, Inc of Redwood City.
No other information has been released to the public at this time.
